Child ID Program

In the United States, an estimated 460,000 children are reported missing every year, according to a 2015 FBI report on missing and unidentified persons.1

We believe that one missing child is one too many, and we are committed to helping our local community better understand, and respond to, missing and abducted children.

We now work with local community partners to provide a secure Child ID Card System.

And while this system had been geared towards children, we are also finding this identification system useful for college-age adults, at-risk adults, and senior citizens.

This system, provided by EZ Child ID, is the nations most comprehensive digital fingerprinting child identification system. The creators of this system worked directly with law enforcement officials to ensure that the digital fingerprinting system is up to their standards.

All vital information required by the Amber Alert system is included. The system produces a child ID information sheet which includes all 10 fingerprints and color picture.

More importantly, to help protect from identity theft, the system was written so that no information of the child is saved on the computer. Once the computer is shut down, all information is erased using the same process that was adopted by the US Department of Defense (attestation letter available).  The parent/legal guardian is the only person who retains the information on the Child ID information sheet.
